In the third Test match against England at Rajkot, Yashasvi Jaiswal showcased his exceptional talent by scoring his second double-century in Test cricket. Opening the innings for India, Jaiswal retired briefly after reaching his century on Day 3 but returned with a bang on Day 4 after Shubman Gill’s dismissal to notch up his second double-hundred. Remarkably, Jaiswal’s innings saw him equal the record for the most sixes in a Test innings, matching Wasim Akram’s tally of 12 sixes set back in 1996.

Adding to his achievements, Jaiswal became the first batsman in the history of Test cricket to hit 20 or more sixes in a single series, marking a historic milestone in the game’s 147-year legacy.
