Will Kate Middleton Deviate from Tradition for Prince Louis’ Birthday? The Answer May Soon Emerge

As tradition dictates, Kate Middleton and Prince William typically share a family portrait to mark their youngest son Prince Louis’ birthday, which is eagerly anticipated by royal watchers. With Prince Louis set to turn six on April 23, many are curious if the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will maintain this tradition, especially in light of recent controversies surrounding their Mother’s Day photo.

According to reports from The Sunday Times, it’s likely that the royal couple will indeed continue this tradition. An aide mentioned that they understand the public’s affection for their children and recognize the interest in seeing them on special occasions like birthdays.

However, insiders close to the couple have revealed that there hasn’t been a definitive decision regarding whether Kate, who is known for her passion for photography, will take the picture herself or if they will opt for a professional photographer.

Since the birth of their eldest, Prince George, both William and Kate have consistently released new photos to mark their children’s birthdays. Kate, in particular, often takes on the role of capturing these significant moments with her own camera, being described as an “enthusiastic amateur photographer.”

Recent scrutiny has been cast upon the integrity of royal portraits, particularly following the controversy surrounding the Mother’s Day photo released in March. This led to apologies from the Duchess herself, who admitted to occasionally experimenting with photo editing. Concerns were raised, especially after claims of Photoshop manipulation were made by Sky News upon analyzing the image’s metadata.

Furthermore, Getty Images revealed another royal family photo had been digitally enhanced, adding to the skepticism surrounding recent releases. Public relations expert Mark Borkowski criticized the lack of transparency regarding Kate’s health and the decision-making process concerning the allegedly doctored photos, stating that these controversies are detrimental to the royal brand.
