WrestleMania 2024, the pinnacle event in the WWE calendar, promises two nights of thrilling action, with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson making a long-awaited comeback on the first night’s main show.
However, before the matches even began in the ring, The Rock found himself embroiled in an offstage altercation with a fan during the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. While attending to induct his grandmother, Lia Maivia, into the Hall of Fame, The Rock engaged in a heated exchange with a fan seated in the front row.
As the ceremony drew to a close, the fan provoked The Rock by referencing Cody Rhodes’ potential takeover at WWE WrestleMania 40, saying, “Cody’s coming for you.” This led The Rock to momentarily lose his composure, responding with a verbal rebuke, “Watch your f***ing mouth.”
Despite his public persona as a charismatic actor, The Rock’s persona in the WWE often takes on a darker edge. Having previously inducted both his father, Rocky Johnson, and his grandfather, ‘High Chief’ Peter Maivia, into the Hall of Fame, The Rock’s presence at the event is always highly anticipated.
His participation in the first night’s events sets the stage for an epic showdown on the second night, where The Rock will team up with Roman Reigns to face off against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. This highly anticipated match will headline the WrestleMania 40 Main Card on April 6 at 7 pm ET or 4 pm PT, exclusively available for streaming on Peacock.
In other news, The Rock recently expressed regret during an appearance on Fox & Friends Weekend for endorsing Biden in 2020. “The endorsement that I made years ago with Biden was one I thought was the best decision for me at that time,” he stated. However, he confirmed that he would not be endorsing any candidate in the upcoming elections.
