Speculation arose when a film critic claimed that Johnny Depp and Sydney Sweeney were set to co-star in a new movie directed by Marc Webb, known for “The Amazing Spider-Man.” Titled “Day Drinker,” the film was rumored to begin production shortly after an official announcement. However, it appears these rumors are unfounded.

Sydney addressed the matter in a post on her X account on Saturday, breaking her silence with a message: “woke up to (star emoticon) rumors anyways go see @ImmaculateMovie in theaters this weekend!” The actor was promoting her latest horror film directed by Michael Mohan.

Sydney Sweeney stars and co-produces the psychological horror film “Immaculate,” portraying Cecilia, a young American nun forced to relocate to a secluded church in rural Italy. As she settles into her new surroundings, Cecilia discovers dark secrets and unimaginable terrors lurking within the convent.
