Sydney Sweeney, the talented actress from “Euphoria,” has teamed up with Bai to introduce a refreshing new flavor of their fruity beverage: raspberry lemon lime. At a launch event in New York on Thursday, Sweeney dazzled in a pleated Alaïa maxidress, perfectly complementing the drink’s vibrant pink hue.
Surrounded by a faux grove of lemon and lime trees, Sweeney shared insights into the creative process behind her collaboration with Bai, which took nearly a year to develop. During the filming of “Immaculate,” her upcoming film set to release on March 22, Bai sent Sweeney various flavor combinations to taste-test. She involved her family in the process, including her grandmas, mom, and aunt, who were visiting her in Italy where she was shooting the film.
The inspiration for the raspberry lemon lime flavor stemmed from Sweeney’s fond childhood memories of berry-picking in the lush mountains of Tacoma, Washington. She recounted adventurous outings with her family to a waterfall next to a huckleberry patch, reminiscing about sliding down the waterfall in garbage bags.
The film “Immaculate” holds a special place in Sweeney’s heart, having auditioned for it a decade ago. Determined to see the project come to life, she acquired rights to the script under her production banner, Fifty-Fifty Films. Sweeney also played a pivotal role in casting her co-star Simona Tabasco, with whom she previously worked on “White Lotus.”
Despite being raised Catholic, Sweeney’s portrayal of Cecilia, a nun in “Immaculate,” wasn’t influenced by her upbringing. She emphasized her family’s supportive and open-minded approach to religion, noting that Catholicism wasn’t imposed on her during her childhood.
In the midst of her busy schedule, which includes hosting “Saturday Night Live” and attending fashion shows in Paris, Sweeney prioritizes her wellness. She credits Bai’s added benefits, such as antioxidants and electrolytes, for keeping her hydrated, along with her dedication to skincare. As a global ambassador for Laneige, she values self-care and enjoys taking her dog Tank on walks and hikes.
Despite her commitment to wellness, Sweeney admits to indulging in her favorite snacks on set, which include Sour Patch Kids, Reese’s cups, and Twix bars. Her raspberry lemon lime Bai flavor is now available at major retailers, offering fans a taste of her refreshing collaboration.
