Surveillance Video Allegedly Shows Sean “Diddy” Combs Assaulting Ex-Girlfriend Cassie in 2016 Hotel Incident Amidst Multiple Abuse Allegations

Surveillance video obtained by CNN reportedly shows music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie, during a 2016 incident in a hotel. This video is related to a lawsuit Cassie, whose full name is Casandra Ventura, filed in November, accusing Combs of years of physical and sexual abuse. The lawsuit was settled the day after it was filed.

The video, recorded in March 2016, captures multiple angles of the alleged assault in a hotel hallway. In the footage, a man identified by CNN as Combs is seen in a towel, shirtless, approaching a woman near an elevator. He then grabs her and throws her to the ground, followed by kicking her twice. Combs is then seen dragging the woman by her hooded sweatshirt while she remains on the floor. The video further shows the woman picking up a phone as Combs moves out of the camera’s view. He then re-enters the frame and appears to shove her. Later, while sitting in a chair, Combs picks up an object and throws it. The video does not have audio.

Cassie, 37, detailed in her lawsuit numerous instances of abuse throughout their relationship. She claimed Combs lured her into a relationship when she was a rising artist under his label and subsequently controlled all aspects of her life. She accused him of physically assaulting her by punching, beating, kicking, and stomping her.

The alleged 2016 hotel incident was described in Cassie’s lawsuit, where she claimed she received a black eye after Combs, intoxicated, punched her in the face. The altercation continued into the hotel hallway as she tried to leave, with Combs allegedly throwing glass vases at her. Hotel staff reportedly advised her to return home, hinting they had seen security footage of the attack. Cassie alleged Combs paid the hotel $50,000 to obtain this footage.

In response to the video’s release, Douglas Wigdor, Cassie’s attorney, stated that the footage confirms Combs’ “disturbing and predatory behavior.” Despite the lawsuit’s settlement, Combs’ representatives did not immediately comment, though he has previously denied the allegations, labeling them as sickening. Following the settlement, Combs’ attorney asserted that the agreement was “in no way an admission of wrongdoing.”

Since Cassie’s lawsuit, Combs has faced additional accusations of sexual and physical abuse, gang rape, and other serious illegal activities. He is currently under federal investigation, with agents having searched his properties this spring. Combs has consistently denied all allegations, pledging to clear his name.

CNN’s report on the video includes a statement from IHG Hotels & Resorts, clarifying that the hotel involved in the incident is no longer under their management. IHG also stated they did not produce, receive money for, or have access to the footage.

Federal officials have interviewed three women and a man in connection with allegations against Combs, including sex trafficking, sexual assault, and illegal narcotics and firearms distribution. Combs has settled the lawsuit with Cassie, but other suits remain pending. His lawyers have moved to dismiss some of these lawsuits.

In March, federal agents raided Combs’ homes in Los Angeles and Miami, reportedly finding firearms. One of Combs’ attorneys described the raids as an ambush and asserted that Combs had cooperated with authorities and was innocent. Additionally, a man named Brendan Paul, arrested on drug charges during the searches, agreed to a plea deal that will result in the dismissal of his case upon completion of a diversion program.
