SNL Spoofs State of the Union with Scarlett Johansson’s Surprise Cameo

This weekend’s episode of “Saturday Night Live” kicked off with a hilarious take on the State of the Union, featuring a surprise appearance from Scarlett Johansson, known as Mrs. Colin Jost. In a cameo role as Alabama Sen. Katie Britt, Johansson delivered a GOP rebuttal to President Joe Biden’s address, criticizing his “performative” qualities while denying any performance herself, all from the comfort of her kitchen.

In a clever nod to Jordan Peele’s “Get Out,” Johansson stirred a teacup, causing Kenan Thompson to freeze with a tear rolling down his face, adding a comedic twist to the skit.

Before Johansson’s appearance, Mikey Day reprised his role as Biden, making playful jabs at Vice President Kamala Harris, portrayed by Punkie Johnson, and poking fun at Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, played by Michael Longfellow.

The episode, hosted by “Dune: Part Two” star Josh Brolin, featured him taking an actual ice bath for his monologue and included musical performances by Ariana Grande.
