Former NFL wide receiver Brandon Marshall has alleged that Taylor Swift had Kanye West removed from his seat at Super Bowl 2024. This purported incident occurred after West reportedly purchased seats directly in front of Swift’s private suite at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
During an episode of the Paper Route podcast on Tuesday, February 13, Marshall claimed, “More tea… so Kanye West shows up at the Super Bowl. Kanye West buys a ticket right in front of Taylor Swift’s booth, so anytime they were going to show [Taylor Swift], Kanye’s face would be there.” Marshall, who played in the league from 2006 to 2018, added, “He had a mask on… typical Kanye. So Taylor Swift gets upset. She makes a call or two, everyone gets involved.” According to Marshall, “[Kanye] gets kicked out of the stadium… Hot tea, hot tea… He was trying to leverage her celebrity to gain something… so you have to go back to their feud.”
The feud between Swift and West traces back to the 2009 VMAs, where West infamously interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech for Best Video by a Female Artist. Although the two appeared to reconcile in subsequent years, tensions resurfaced in 2016 when West released the track “Famous,” referring to Swift with derogatory language, calling Swift “that bi***” in the lyrics. West claimed Swift had approved the use of the term, but Swift denied the allegation.
Swift made headlines last year for a viral moment during a performance in Seattle. While singing her diss track aimed at West, titled “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things,” Swift burst into laughter after singing the line, “And here’s to you, ’cause forgiveness is a nice thing to do.” She jokingly remarked, “I can’t even say it with a straight face,” before composing herself.
