Amidst claims that photographer and close friend Misan Harriman manipulated a photograph they shared on Valentine’s Day 2021 to announce their pregnancy with Lillibet, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have broken their silence.

The controversy arose following similarities to a recent incident involving the Cambridges, where a family photo shared by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge was pulled due to concerns of manipulation.

While sources from Page Six alleged that Meghan “would never make that mistake” and suggested repercussions had the photo been edited, a spokesperson from the couple’s Archewell Foundation clarified that the accusation did not originate from them.

Speculation intensified after resurfaced comments from Mr. Harriman’s 2022 BBC Radio 3 podcast, where he mentioned lying under a meadow rather than a willow tree, prompting assumptions that the tree was added later.

Mr. Harriman addressed the accusations on social media, denouncing them as “insidious.”
