Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Mulls Vice Presidential Candidates: Aaron Rodgers and Jesse Ventura Among Contenders

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is currently contemplating potential running mates, among whom are New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers and former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura, as confirmed by NBC News on Tuesday.

Kennedy had previously indicated in an interview last month that he intended to announce his vice-presidential pick within the following 30 days. However, the self-imposed deadline passed in early March without any official declaration.

According to a spokesperson for the Kennedy campaign, Rodgers and Ventura are among several individuals on the shortlist for the vice-presidential position. However, no further details regarding the selection process were provided.

The initial report by The New York Times revealed that both Rodgers and Ventura, the latter being a former professional wrestler, were being considered by Kennedy for the role.

As of yet, neither Rodgers nor the New York Jets have responded to requests for comment on their potential involvement in the presidential campaign. Similarly, attempts to reach Ventura for his response were unsuccessful.

Ventura, aged 72, secured the governorship of Minnesota in 1998, marking a significant milestone as the first Reform Party candidate to win statewide office. His tenure lasted for a single term, as he chose not to pursue re-election.
