Rihanna’s $8-$9 Million Gig: Headlining Anant and Radhika’s Pre-Wedding Bash

Pop icon Rihanna, accompanied by her entourage, arrived in Jamnagar on February 29 to grace the pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, as reported by India Today. The songstress is reportedly earning a staggering $8-$9 million (approximately ₹66 to 74 crore) for her performance at the extravagant event.

The festivities are in honor of the upcoming nuptials between Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, the daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant. The wedding ceremony is scheduled to take place on July 12 later this year.

In a viral video, Rihanna was spotted leaving the airport adorned in a chic black high-neck top paired with purple cargo pants, accentuated with a striped cloth tied around her waist. Joining her are American singer and songwriter J Brown, as well as multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer Adam Blackstone, who is also set to perform at the three-day pre-wedding festivities.

The celebrations commenced with the traditional ‘anna seva’ ritual on Wednesday, where Mukesh Ambani, Anant Ambani, Radhika Merchant, and other members of the Ambani family actively participated in serving traditional Gujarati delicacies to the residents of Jogwad village near the Reliance Township in Jamnagar. Radhika’s maternal relatives, including her grandparents Viren and Shaila Merchant, also joined in the ‘anna seva’. The Ambani family plans to serve food to approximately 51,000 residents over the next few days.

Following the meal, the attendees were treated to captivating traditional folk music performances, with renowned Gujarati singer Kirtidan Gadhvi stealing the spotlight with his melodious voice.

Guests attending the pre-wedding festivities will be immersed in Indian culture, receiving traditional scarves crafted by women artisans from Kachchh and Lalpur in Gujarat.

The star-studded guest list features prominent figures from around the globe, including former Prime Ministers, CEOs of multinational corporations, and notable personalities from various fields, all set to grace the event with their presence in Jamnagar.
