Princess Kate Middleton has inadvertently stirred up controversy over a supposed royal dining tradition reportedly established by the late Queen Elizabeth.
During a visit to the Great Ormand Street Hospital in 2018, Princess Kate engaged in a conversation with four-year-old Rafael Chana, who expressed his fondness for olives. To Rafael’s surprise, Kate revealed that she too had a childhood penchant for olives, stating, “I used to eat lots and lots of olives when I was little as well.”
Adding fuel to the fire, royal correspondent Rebecca English tweeted about Kate’s revelation, sharing that Princess Charlotte enjoys olives and that Kate encourages both her and Prince George to join her in cooking.
However, MyLondon claims that the Queen had a different approach to her favorite foods. Allegedly, she preferred to keep her culinary preferences under wraps to avoid having them served excessively at royal events. The Queen, known for her appreciation of diverse cuisines, opted to keep her favorite dish a secret to maintain variety in her meals and to explore new culinary experiences.
