Princess Kate’s Message to Her Children After Cancer Diagnosis

Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, recently disclosed how she informed her children about her cancer diagnosis. In a heartfelt 2-minute video statement released on Friday, the UK royal revealed her ongoing battle with cancer, which was discovered following abdominal surgery in January.

“This news came as an immense shock, and William and I have been navigating through these challenging months privately, focusing on our young family,” she expressed.

Acknowledging her absence from public life since December, the 42-year-old explained the time it took to come to terms with her diagnosis and share it with her children—George (10), Charlotte (8), and Louis (5).

“Understandingly, this process has been gradual. Recovering from major surgery and commencing treatment required time. Equally important was explaining everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a manner suitable for their understanding, assuring them that I’ll be okay,” she added.

Reassuring her supporters, she echoed the same message she imparted to her children: “I am well and progressing each day.”

“I’m focusing on activities that aid my recovery—mind, body, and spirit,” she emphasized.

Expressing gratitude to her husband, Prince William, for his unwavering support, she appealed for privacy as her family dealt with her treatment. “William’s presence has been a pillar of strength and solace. The outpouring of love, support, and kindness from all of you means the world to us. We ask for understanding as we seek time, space, and privacy to navigate through this journey,” she stated.

Speculation about her health had been rife on social media following Kensington Palace’s announcement of her surgery recovery. The Princess’s absence fueled rumors, exacerbated by a heavily edited photo she shared on Mother’s Day, sparking criticism.
