Prince William is ensuring that Kate doesn’t feel alone after her cancer diagnosis, according to a source close to the couple. Putting family first, William has temporarily stepped back from his royal duties to spend time with Kate and their three children during the Easter holidays.
In a heartfelt video message revealing her diagnosis, Kate expressed gratitude for William’s unwavering support, describing him as a pillar of strength and comfort throughout this challenging time.
“The nuclear family they’ve built is a tremendous source of support for both William and Catherine,” the source shared with PEOPLE magazine. “Their united front is key to helping Kate feel supported and cared for.”
Currently retreating to their countryside residence at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, England, the couple is prioritizing their family’s well-being above all else. “This is a critical juncture for them, and their primary focus is on each other,” the insider added. “William’s foremost concern is his family’s welfare, and everything else takes a backseat.”
In her message, Kate frequently mentioned their children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – emphasizing the need for privacy and space during her treatment. She acknowledged the joy her work has brought her and expressed hope for a swift recovery before returning to her duties.
Kate is currently undergoing preventive chemotherapy and is on the path to recovery. Consequently, she and William will not be attending the annual Easter Service in Windsor. Instead, King Charles and Queen Camilla are expected to represent the royal family at the event.
