Prince Harry Urges Meghan to Join Him Ahead of UK Visit: ‘Don’t Want to Do This Alone’

Prince Harry is anticipating his forthcoming visit to the UK with a sense of hope, mirroring the sentiments of Prince William and King Charles. Could this trip to London potentially heal the long-standing divide between the brothers? That remains to be seen. Nevertheless, reports suggest that Harry has reached out to his wife Meghan Markle, urging her to join him on his Invictus gaming schedule during the visit.

Prince Harry asks Meghan to join him on UK visit

According to a source cited by GB News, the Duke has requested Meghan to accompany him on the upcoming trip, expressing, “I don’t want to do this alone.” He has also conveyed to her his reluctance to continue making “solo trips to the UK.” Previously, Harry had visited King Charles individually after receiving a personal call from him following his cancer diagnosis. However, Meghan did not accompany him on this short visit.

The source further revealed, “He [Harry] would prefer it if the entire family made regular visits to see his family and build bridges, but there is so much going on behind the scenes that it just isn’t possible at the moment.”

Security Concerns Cloud Prince Harry and Meghan’s UK Visit Plans

According to the source, both Harry and Meghan initially planned to travel to the UK with their children. However, Meghan changed her mind when the exact date and time of the Invictus Games were announced, citing security concerns. As a result, she no longer felt comfortable bringing her family to London.

The source elaborated, “The situation now revolves around whether the family should attend with increased security or if Harry should go alone.” Meghan’s last visit to the UK was for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022.

Previous reports indicated that Meghan declined an invitation from Prince William and Kate due to security concerns for her family, particularly after Harry lost a court battle over security arrangements in London.

Harry is scheduled to return to the UK in May for his Invictus Games commitment. However, whether Meghan and their children will accompany him remains uncertain.

According to the Daily Mail, Harry is hesitant to bring his family to the UK, especially his children, Archie and Lilibet, unless the Home Office reverses its decision regarding his immediate eligibility for police protection while visiting the UK.
