Prince Harry Denied Meeting with King Due to His ‘Full Programme’ During UK Visit

Prince Harry has returned to the UK to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, a significant event celebrating wounded and injured service personnel. However, his visit will not include a meeting with his father, King Charles, as the latter’s schedule is reportedly full.

A spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex emphasized that Prince Harry understands his father’s busy agenda and expresses hope for a future meeting. This absence from a royal gathering is notable, especially considering Prince Harry’s previous visit to the UK in February to see the King following his cancer diagnosis.

The purpose of Prince Harry’s visit is to participate in various events commemorating the Invictus Games, including a service of thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral in London, where he will give a reading. Notably, other senior royals, including King Charles and Prince William, are not confirmed to attend, and Princess Catherine, currently undergoing cancer treatment, will also be absent.

Following his engagements in London, Prince Harry will travel to Nigeria with Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, in response to an invitation from Nigeria’s chief of defense staff, who Prince Harry had met during last year’s Invictus Games in Germany.

Meanwhile, discussions are underway to determine potential venues for the 2027 Invictus Games, with Birmingham in the UK and Washington DC in the US among the top contenders.

The return of the King to public engagements after his cancer diagnosis signals a positive step forward in his health journey. While his treatment continues, medical advisors have permitted a gradual resumption of royal duties. However, the extent of his involvement in traditional summer events remains uncertain.
