Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Anticipated to Visit Ghana After Successful Nigeria Tour

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may soon visit a place cherished by the Duke’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Following their successful unofficial royal tour of Nigeria, they might travel to a destination dear to the late Queen.

According to sources cited by Mirror, Ghanaian officials and leading figures are eagerly anticipating a visit from Harry and Meghan after their three-day trip to neighboring Nigeria. They are hoping the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will fly to Ghana’s capital, Accra, which was one of Queen Elizabeth’s favorite destinations. Reports suggest that the leaders of the West African country are committed to making them feel welcome.

“There is already a lot of talk and excitement in Ghana. Everyone is keen for Harry and Meghan to come and experience the great culture and warmth,” insiders revealed.

Several celebrities, including Ed Sheeran, Naomi Campbell, and Liam Payne of One Direction, have visited Ghana in recent years. Idris Elba, who DJ’d at Harry and Meghan’s wedding and is part-Ghanaian, frequently spends time there and loves being “back home.”

Harry will have plenty of visitors to show him around, with sources saying they will undoubtedly lay out the red carpet for him and invite some of the best Afro-beats artists to welcome him and his family. “It’s only a matter of time before Harry and Meghan come out and sample the famous jollof rice!”

The invitation follows the royal couple’s Nigeria tour, where they supported their “Giants of Africa” programs and announced plans to enhance their efforts by offering “an additional adaptive court and accessible sport for the community of Abuja.” During their visit, they also sponsored a basketball clinic, with Harry participating in ball bouncing drills. His day was filled with sports, laughter, and meaningful conversations.

The couple shared moments from their recent trip to Nigeria, including a touching moment when Meghan received a special gift for Archie and Lilibet—hand-stitched teddy bears from 13-year-old Grace. Meghan, who was in Nigeria on Mother’s Day, expressed how much she missed her children.

Speaking at the Lagos State Government House on Mother’s Day, she said, “We are missing our children. I’m missing my babies. It feels very appropriate to be in the motherland and amongst family.”
