The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reported an outbreak of norovirus, commonly known as the stomach virus, in the Northeast region of the United States. The Philadelphia Department of Public Health has issued a warning, urging residents to take preventative measures to halt the spread of the virus.
It is also colloquially referred to as the stomach bug or stomach flu. The virus is highly contagious and can infect anyone, spreading rapidly and easily.
