Hardik Pandya and Rohit Sharma, along with their Mumbai Indians teammates, united to deliver a heartfelt message ahead of the IPL 2024 match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. The anticipated clash is set to take place at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium and marks the annual ESA game organized by the Mumbai Indians in collaboration with Reliance Foundation.
As part of the ESA initiative, over 18,000 children, including 200 with special needs, will have the opportunity to watch and support their favorite cricketers during the IPL 2024 season.
In a video released by the Mumbai Indians, skipper Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma, and other senior members expressed their enthusiasm for hosting the ESA game and creating a memorable experience for thousands of children.
“It’s truly thrilling to witness 18,000 kids fill the stadium, cheering for us and the Mumbai Indians. We aim to make their day unforgettable, hopefully with a victory. Being part of these games and impacting their lives in a small way is a privilege,” shared Hardik Pandya, exuding excitement about the ESA game.
Rohit Sharma, former skipper of MI, remarked on the inspiring stories behind each child attending the event. “These kids face challenges in life, but I’m truly impressed by the efforts of Reliance Foundation and Mrs. Ambani in providing for their needs. I’ve had the chance to hear their stories before, and witnessing them enjoy the game brings immense joy. It’s our responsibility to ensure they leave the stadium with smiles on their faces,” Sharma emphasized.
The sentiments shared by the Mumbai Indians’ players underscore their commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of young fans through the ESA initiative.
