Leaked Images Hint at iPhone 16 Lineup: Larger Sizes and Sleeker Designs Expected

Alleged leaks showcasing the upcoming Apple iPhone 16 lineup have surfaced online, giving users a sneak peek into the rear design and potential size enhancements of Apple’s upcoming models. These leaks, shared on X by Sonny Dickson and reported by MacRumors, feature dummy units representing the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Plus, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Typically used for display or testing purposes, these dummy models provide a glimpse into the anticipated dimensions of the new iPhones. Specifically, the images highlight the slightly larger sizes of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, expected to increase from 6.1 to 6.3 inches and 6.7 to 6.9 inches, respectively, compared to their predecessors. The images also illustrate how these sizes compare to other models within the lineup.

While the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are speculated to retain their current screen sizes of 6.1 and 6.7 inches, rumors suggest they may feature a redesigned vertical camera array to accommodate spatial video capture. Since the iPhone 13, Apple’s non-Pro iPhone models have featured diagonally arranged dual rear cameras.

Anticipation surrounding the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max is growing, with rumors hinting at a significant increase in display size. A recent report from The Elec, cited by 9To5Mac, suggests that Apple plans to utilize a new technology known as “Border Reduction Structure” (BRS) to achieve this. BRS aims to minimize bezels on the iPhone 16 Pro models, signaling a move toward a sleeker design. By employing an advanced under-display system, Apple aims to substantially reduce bezels, promising a transformative visual experience for users.

As per tradition, the entire iPhone 16 lineup is expected to be unveiled in the fall, in line with Apple’s usual release schedule.
