Kylie Jenner Opens Up About Decades of Cyberbullying and Family Insecurities on ‘The Kardashians’

In a recent emotional episode of “The Kardashians,” Kylie Jenner opened up to her sister Kendall about enduring relentless cyberbullying since she was just 13 years old. The reality TV star revealed that the constant online hate and negative comments about her appearance have deeply affected her, admitting, “People have been talking about my looks since I was 13. It just gets exhausting. I hear nasty things about myself all the time. Like, I’ve never cried about this before, but I guess it does affect me.”

Despite the scrutiny, Kylie vehemently addressed rumors of insecurity, asserting that she has always maintained self-confidence. Refuting misconceptions about extensive plastic surgery, she clarified, “I always loved myself—I still love myself—and one of the biggest misconceptions about me is that I was this insecure child who underwent numerous surgeries to change my face, which is false; I’ve only had fillers.”

Reflecting on her upbringing within the Kardashian-Jenner family, Kylie also pointed out how familial comments impacted her self-image. She disclosed that her family, including her siblings, often teased her about her ears. In a revealing moment with her sister Khloé Kardashian on the July 2023 episode, Kylie confronted the issue, saying, “You don’t realize how you guys always talked about my ears?” Khloé responded by explaining that she had only commented positively because she liked Kylie’s ears. However, Kylie expressed how these remarks were received differently, stating, “But I didn’t receive it like that. I received it like everyone was making fun of my ears, calling them dopey. Like that, f—– me up.”

Kylie further shared that she never paid much attention to her ears until these family jokes made her self-conscious. Her perspective on appearance notably shifted after becoming a mother to her daughter, Stormi, whose facial features resemble her own. This journey of self-reflection and acceptance has been a pivotal part of Kylie Jenner’s personal growth amidst the pressures of fame and public scrutiny.
