Amidst a dazzling ceremony graced by luminaries from the entertainment industry, Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic was crowned Miss World 2024 by Karolina Bielawska of Poland. The event, held at the Jio World Convention Centre in BKC, Mumbai, witnessed the presence of esteemed figures such as Reliance Foundation Chairperson Nita Mukesh Ambani and Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui, alongside actress Rubina Dilaik.
Krystyna’s victory marked the culmination of a dedicated journey in pursuit of the coveted title. Overcoming competition from representatives of more than 110 nations, she emerged triumphant, with Yasmina Zaytoun of Lebanon securing the position of first runner-up.
Expressing her gratitude, Krystyna emphasized the significance of her purpose project, a lifelong mission aimed at aiding disadvantaged children. She spoke passionately about her commitment to leveraging the Miss World platform to raise awareness and extend support to those in need.
Krystyna, currently pursuing a law degree at Charles University in Prague, devotes her time to volunteer work at the Sonta Foundation in Tanzania, where she provides English education to underprivileged children. Additionally, her interests in music shine through, having spent nine years refining her skills at an art academy.
The prestigious panel of judges for the event included renowned personalities such as film producer Sajid Nadiadwala, actors Kriti Sanon and Pooja Hegde, former cricketer Harbhajan Singh, news personality Rajat Sharma, social worker Amruta Fadnavis, Vineet Jain (MD of Bennett, Coleman & Co. Limited), Julia Morley (Chairperson and CEO of the Miss World Organization), and Jamil Saidi (Strategic Partner & Host – Miss World India), along with three former Miss World titleholders, including India’s Manushi Chhillar.
The pageant was hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar and former Miss World Megan Young, featuring electrifying performances by Shaan, Tony Kakkar, and Neha Kakkar. The official Miss World Instagram account celebrated Krystyna’s win with a joyous announcement, welcoming her into the Miss World family and extending heartfelt congratulations.
