Kanye West Spotted Sleeping in Economy Class with Wife Bianca Censori Amid Career Controversies

Earlier this month, Kanye West was spotted sleeping in the front row of an economy-class flight with his wife, Bianca Censori. A surprised fan captured a brief video of the “Flashing Lights” rapper cramped into a small seat and shared it on TikTok on Saturday, June 8. “Was not expecting to see Kanye when I walked out of the bathroom, to say the least,” TikTok user Brandon Doggett captioned the clip.

West was dressed in a fluffy white robe monogrammed with “Ye,” paired with matching pants and white sneakers. Censori, seated next to him by the window, wore a cream-colored dress and was scrolling through her phone while her husband slept.

Commenters on the video found humor in the situation, with one noting, “Flying economy in those outfits — iconic,” while another joked that at least Censori wasn’t “naked,” referencing her usual bold fashion choices. Though Doggett didn’t mention the flight’s destination, West and Censori were later seen at Narita International Airport in Japan wearing the same outfits.

This sighting comes several months after West revealed difficulties booking venues for his shows following controversial antisemitic comments he made on social media. “We just sold out the United Center in seven minutes, and I just want to express to everybody out there to see if it’s anyone that can help with this,” he said in an Instagram video. “It’s the only arena that I had access to in the past year. When I call, people say there are no avails for me, and you know why that is. So if there’s anybody out there that can help with this, please do.”

Followers quickly mocked the former billionaire for his struggles. One asked, “What did you expect?” while another added, “Well if it isn’t the consequences of his own actions.”

As previously reported, West’s antisemitic remarks over the past two years led to his removal from X, formerly known as Twitter, and the loss of several business deals. In December 2023, the 47-year-old finally issued an apology to the Jewish community in a message written in Hebrew. “It was not my intention to hurt or disrespect, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused,” he stated. “I am committed to starting with myself and learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future. Your forgiveness is important to me, and I am committed to repair and to advancing unity.”
