Kansas City Chiefs’ Rashee Rice Sought by Police Following Dallas Crash

Police are currently seeking Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice in connection with a significant accident that occurred on Saturday in Dallas, as reported by the Dallas Morning News.

According to law enforcement sources cited by the newspaper, a vehicle believed to be either registered to or leased by Rice was involved in a crash in northeast Dallas around 6:20 p.m. local time on Saturday.

A police call sheet obtained by the Dallas Morning News confirmed that authorities are actively searching for Rice in relation to the incident.

A spokeswoman for the Dallas police informed the newspaper that the drivers of a Chevrolet Corvette and a Lamborghini were both speeding and lost control of their vehicles. The Lamborghini struck the median wall, resulting in a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles.

The spokeswoman further stated that individuals from the Lamborghini and the Corvette fled the scene of the crash. Four people sustained minor injuries, with two requiring hospitalization.

As of Sunday morning, it remains unclear whether Rice will face charges, and the extent of his involvement in the accident is yet to be determined. Rice was not listed in Dallas County jail records as of 7 a.m. ET on Sunday.

Rice, aged 23, hails from the Fort Worth suburb of North Richland Hills, Texas, and played his college football at SMU in Dallas before being drafted by the Chiefs in the second round last year.

Standing at 6 feet 1 inch, Rice emerged as a key wide receiver for Kansas City last season, ranking second on the team in receptions (79) and receiving yards (938), trailing only Travis Kelce. He led the team with seven touchdown receptions and contributed 26 catches for 262 yards and a touchdown during the Chiefs’ playoff campaign, culminating in their second consecutive Super Bowl victory.
