Ivanka Trump Makes First Public Appearance Following Father’s Historic Conviction

Ivanka Trump made her first public appearance on Sunday following her father Donald Trump’s historic conviction on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. The 42-year-old former Advisor to the President was spotted in Miami, wearing a chic all-black gym outfit paired with white sneakers and matching socks. She completed her look with stylish pink sunglasses and a sleek ponytail.

Ivanka was seen outside a Four Seasons hotel, chatting with Marianne Fonseca, a Brazilian model and CEO of Gente, before the two headed out together. Photos of the outing were obtained by the New York Post.

Despite maintaining a low profile since the guilty verdict, Ivanka shared a childhood photo on social media showing her sitting on her father’s lap with the caption, “I love you, dad,” posted on her Instagram story just hours after the verdict.

Donald Trump, now the first U.S. President in history to be convicted of a criminal offense, addressed his verdict in a Fox News interview on Sunday. He expressed that he is “okay” with either jail time or house arrest as a potential punishment. He also mentioned how the trial has been particularly hard on his family, especially his wife, Melania. “She’s fine, but I think it’s very hard for her. I mean, she’s fine. But it’s… you know, she has to read all this crap,” Trump said.
