Cummins became the first player to exceed a 20-crore deal, joining Sunrisers Hyderabad, while Mitchell Starc became the highest-paid player in IPL history, acquired by Kolkata Knight Riders for a staggering ₹24.75 crore. Harshal Patel emerged as the most expensive Indian player, signing with Punjab Kings for ₹11.75 crore.
