In the lead-up to Super Bowl LVIII, the Kansas City Chiefs have been hit with yet another significant injury setback, affecting their defensive lineup.

Charles Omenihu, a standout pass-rusher, endured a torn ACL during the AFC Championship victory over Baltimore on Sunday, as reported by Jordan Schulz of Bleacher Report. Unfortunately, this injury will sideline Omenihu for the upcoming Super Bowl in two weeks.

This is a major setback for the Kansas City defense, considering Omenihu’s impactful contributions throughout the season. He racked up seven sacks and forced two fumbles in the regular season, including a crucial strip-sack of Lamar Jackson during the second quarter on Sunday. The injury occurred just before halftime.

The Chiefs emerged victorious despite missing a key player in the AFC Championship. While Omenihu’s absence represents a significant loss, the team has successfully overcome such setbacks.
