Gypsy Rose Blanchard Announces Separation Months After Prison Release

In a recent social media post, Gypsy Rose Blanchard revealed that she and her husband are undergoing a separation, just three months after her release from prison.

Blanchard, 32, confirmed the news, stating that she has moved back in with her parents in Louisiana following the separation. She expressed gratitude for the support of her family and friends during this challenging time and emphasized the importance of taking time to rediscover herself.

Her marriage to Ryan Scott Anderson, a Louisiana teacher, in a prison ceremony back in 2022 marked a significant milestone in her life. Before her imprisonment, Blanchard had endured years of manipulation and control at the hands of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, who was later murdered by Gypsy Rose’s then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, in 2015.

The truth about the abusive relationship between mother and daughter came to light, revealing Dee Dee’s fabrication of multiple illnesses and disorders that Gypsy Rose supposedly suffered from. This led to unnecessary medical procedures and medications, all while the duo accepted charity and donations under false pretenses.

Following legal proceedings, Gypsy Rose accepted a plea deal, acknowledging her victimization under her mother’s Munchausen syndrome by proxy. Godejohn was convicted of first-degree murder and is serving a life sentence.

Despite the hardships, Blanchard’s story garnered public sympathy, with documentaries and TV series shedding light on her ordeal. She found companionship with Anderson, and their relationship blossomed, culminating in a private wedding ceremony in prison.

After serving 85 percent of her sentence, Blanchard was released on parole in December 2023. Despite initial optimism about settling into married life, Blanchard’s recent separation announcement marks a new chapter in her journey of self-discovery and healing.
