Star Movies will also air a repeat telecast at 8:30 pm IST.

What to Expect: After a historic year for India at the Academy Awards, with “Naatu Naatu” from RRR winning Best Music (Original Song) and “The Elephant Whisperers” winning in the Documentary Short Film category, Indian fans are eagerly awaiting this year’s results.

Nisha Pahuja’s Canadian documentary “To Kill a Tiger,” which follows the journey of a Jharkhand family seeking justice for their daughter’s brutal rape, has garnered significant attention. Executive produced by Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Dev Patel, and Mindy Kaling, the film is set to release on Netflix.

Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” leads the nominations with an impressive 13 nods, sparking speculation that Nolan might finally clinch the Best Director award. Other notable contenders include Yorgos Lanthimos’ “Poor Things” with 11 nominations and Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” with 10.
