Former President Trump Downplays Controversy Over Doctored Photo of Princess

During an interview with British politician Nigel Farage on GB News, a right-leaning news channel in the United Kingdom, former President Trump downplayed the significance of photo editing, stating, “Well, that shouldn’t be a big deal, because everybody doctors.” Trump referenced encounters with “movie actors,” expressing skepticism about the authenticity of their appearances in photos.

Regarding a digitally altered photo of a princess released by Kensington Palace on March 10, Trump dismissed the controversy, describing it as “a very minor doctoring.” He expressed confusion over the backlash, questioning why there was such uproar over the incident.

The release of the doctored photo coincided with widespread speculation about the princess’s health following abdominal surgery in January. Amidst limited public appearances, the altered image fueled further scrutiny.

Reflecting on the situation, Trump remarked, “It’s a rough period, that — you know, they’re going after her.”

In response, the princess issued a statement the following day, attributing the incident to her amateur photography practices. “Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing,” she explained, extending apologies for any confusion caused by the altered family photograph shared previously.
