Former Nickelodeon Star Drake Bell Reveals Alleged Sexual Abuse by Dialogue Coach in Investigation Discovery Series

Drake Bell, former Nickelodeon star, is set to disclose his experience of being a victim of sexual abuse by Brian Peck, his former dialogue coach, in the upcoming Investigation Discovery series titled “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.” Peck, who worked on Nickelodeon’s “All That” and “The Amanda Show,” was convicted in 2004 for his crimes against Bell and ordered to register as a sex offender.

Peck’s history resurfaced recently when cast members of “Boy Meets World” remembered their interactions with him on the “Pod Meets World” podcast. Peck, accused of sexual abuse in 2003, allegedly attempted to manipulate the situation in his favor when discussing it with his former colleagues.

On the podcast, Will Friedle and Rider Strong recounted their initial disbelief upon hearing the accusations against Peck and their subsequent support for him during his legal proceedings. Friedle particularly expressed his shock and remorse upon realizing the gravity of the situation and the impact on the victim and their family.

“Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” sheds light on the toxic work environment prevalent in children’s shows during the 1990s and early 2000s, including those created by Dan Schneider, such as “iCarly” and “Zoey 101.” The four-part docuseries, airing on Investigation Discovery on March 17 and 18, aims to unveil the behind-the-scenes challenges faced by young actors in the industry.
