Former Employee Alleges Discrimination and Harassment by Kanye West: Lawsuit Details Troubling Incidents

Allegations of discrimination and harassment against Kanye West have surfaced, brought forth by former employee Trevor Phillips, shedding light on disturbing incidents within West’s professional realm. Phillips, who served as the Director of Visions and Design at Kanye West’s Yeezy company and later took on additional responsibilities at Donda Academy, has filed a lawsuit detailing what he describes as “severe discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.”

According to documents reported by Page Six, Phillips alleges that West made threatening remarks toward students at Donda Academy, including suggestions of shaving their heads and erecting cages on campus for security purposes. Phillips further accuses West of regularly espousing antisemitic views while on school grounds, expressing intentions to implement drastic measures such as forced head-shaving and installing a jail facility at the academy.

In a particularly troubling incident recounted by Phillips, during a dinner at Nobu Malibu in December 2022, West allegedly engaged in language belittling Jewish people, praising Hitler as an innovator, and denying the reality of the Holocaust. Phillips characterizes the encounter as a disturbing mix of antisemitism, bigotry, and sexual harassment.

The lawsuit underscores the gravity of the situation, with Phillips lamenting that what was initially intended to be a discussion about Donda Academy’s curriculum and horticulture with his employer turned into a distressing display of hate speech and misconduct.

These accusations paint a troubling picture of West’s conduct within his professional endeavors, raising serious concerns about workplace ethics and fostering a safe and inclusive environment for employees.

Discrimination and Misconduct Claims Escalate

In addition to the disturbing allegations previously mentioned, the former Yeezy employee Trevor Phillips has leveled further accusations against Kanye West. Phillips claims that during a sushi dinner, West made threats targeting the LGBTQ community, stating, “‘Yeah I’m going for the gays! FIRST the Jews, THEN the gays!'” Additionally, Phillips alleges that West attributed control of homosexuals to Bill Gates and engaged in inappropriate behavior during the meeting, including simulating masturbation while discussing sex and making offensive comments.

Furthermore, Phillips asserts that West boasted about spending $20 million of the school’s budget on a trip to Paris and exhibited discriminatory behavior towards black employees, treating them worse than their white counterparts.

The lawsuit outlines a deteriorating relationship between Phillips and West, reaching a climax in a heated argument in May 2023 over a garden project. Despite being fired and rehired multiple times, Phillips claims he was ultimately terminated in August 2023 when Donda Academy shut down.

Phillips’ lawsuit seeks to hold West accountable for his alleged discriminatory conduct and seeks damages for the distress he has endured.
