The cause of death for Thomas Kingston, a financier and the husband of Lady Gabriella Kingston, has been revealed. According to reports from The Guardian and the BBC, an English coroner disclosed during a judicial inquiry that the provisional cause of death was attributed to “a traumatic head wound.”
The 45-year-old financier was discovered in a locked building at his parents’ residence in Gloucestershire, located 100 miles west of London. The inquest revealed that Kingston had lunch with his parents before his father went out to walk the dog. Upon his father’s return, Kingston was nowhere to be found. His mother then began searching for him, and after 30 minutes, his father forced entry into a locked outbuilding where Kingston was found deceased with a severe head injury. A gun was found at the scene, and although emergency services were called, police determined the death was not suspicious.
Thomas Kingston was married to Lady Gabriella, the daughter of Prince Michael of Kent, a cousin of Queen Elizabeth II. Buckingham Palace issued a statement on behalf of Lady Gabriella and her family expressing their shock and asking for privacy as they mourned his passing. King Charles and Queen Camilla also shared their condolences, expressing sadness at the loss of a beloved family member. Initially, Kingston’s death was announced without details, with the palace stating no suspicious circumstances were suspected.
Thomas Kingston and Lady Gabriella Windsor were married in 2019 at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, with notable guests including the Queen, Prince Phillip, Prince Harry, and Pippa Middleton.
