In celebration of Women’s History Month this March, FC Cincinnati is proud to shine a spotlight on the invaluable contributions of women within our club and the broader sports industry. Through a series of initiatives, we aim to empower and inspire the next generation of female leaders.
Teaming up once again with Procter and Gamble’s Secret and Always brands, FC Cincinnati presents the “Breaking Barriers” event at TQL Stadium on March 19. This event will gather 150 young female professionals, offering insights into initiating, sustaining, and advancing careers in sports. A panel discussion featuring local women in sports and sports media, including FCC employees and representatives from other area teams, will be followed by breakout sessions led by experienced women professionals. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage, ask questions, and expand their networks.
Additionally, during the match against New York City FC on March 23, FC Cincinnati will spotlight women at TQL Stadium. Attendees from the Breaking Barriers event are invited to purchase tickets and sit together, fostering continued networking opportunities. They will also have the exclusive chance to witness warm-ups pitch-side, gaining a firsthand experience of FC Cincinnati. Furthermore, all fans attending the match can participate in a photo submission contest honoring the influential women in their lives, with the chance to win FC Cincinnati prizes.
In collaboration with NextUp, a national organization with a local presence, FC Cincinnati aims to further the advancement of women in business. This partnership is in line with the club’s FCC University initiative, focusing on staff development throughout 2024 and beyond. Several FC Cincinnati staff members will join NextUp, aligning with the club’s commitment to supporting professional growth.
To highlight the impact of Women’s History Month, featured articles will spotlight women-owned businesses in Cincinnati and showcase female leaders in FC Cincinnati Supporter Groups.
