The Spra Center, in collaboration with four talented artists, introduces the captivating exhibition “Movement” to Diriyah this March. Hosted at Jax District, this display platform showcases the innovative works of four Saudi artists: Rashed Shashai, Khalid bin Afif, Moath Alofi, and Abdullah Al-Othman.
Shashai’s piece, titled “White Flag,” features a symbolic flag elegantly waving atop a washing machine, representing resilience and hope amidst challenges.
Bin Afif draws inspiration from the coastal environment, exploring the power of the color blue and the dynamics of the sea in his artwork. Using empty water bottles, he underscores the emotional connection between humans and nature.
Alofi’s work, “Lucif,” captures the mesmerizing play of light through rocks, inspired by the mysterious desert landscapes of Saudi Arabia.
Al-Othman’s installation, “Tent,” showcases a suspended tent made of aluminum foil, symbolizing both wonder and the passage of time.
Through these diverse pieces, the exhibition aims to redefine static concepts and invite viewers to interact with the dynamic world of art. The Spra Center serves as a platform for artists to explore techno and contemporary art, employing light, electronics, and software to express their creativity.
