Entering the crease with India struggling at 177 for 7, having lost Sarfaraz Khan and R Ashwin quickly, Jurel joined forces with Kuldeep Yadav to stabilize the innings. Despite a challenging situation, both batsmen displayed resilience, guiding India to a respectable total of 219 for 7 by the end of day two.

On day three, Jurel began steadily, gradually increasing the tempo. His partnership with Kuldeep proved crucial as they surpassed the 250-run mark while keeping the English bowlers at bay.
