Country singer Morgan Wallen was charged with three felony counts in connection with an incident at Eric Church’s new honky tonk on Broadway early Monday morning.
According to the arrest report, some Metro Nashville police officers were positioned in front of Chief’s Bar on Broadway on Sunday night when a chair fell from above them, landing just a few feet away. Staff members of Chiefs identified Wallen as the person responsible for throwing the chair from the sixth story of the establishment.
Video evidence showed Wallen “lunging and throwing an object over the roof,” according to his arrest report, with witnesses noting that he laughed afterward. Wallen was subsequently arrested for three counts of reckless endangerment, including endangerment of the officers and the public, along with a charge of disorderly conduct. His bond was set at $15,250.
Wallen’s next court appearance is scheduled for May 3rd, which coincides with his Nashville tour dates. His attorney, Worrick Robinson, released a statement confirming Wallen’s cooperation with authorities and his prompt release after bonding out.
