CBSE Class 12 Results 2024: Pass Percentage, Gender Disparity, and Anticipation for Class 10 Results

On May 13, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) unveiled the results for Class 12 examinations, showcasing an overall pass percentage of 87.98 percent. Out of the 16,33,730 students who registered for the CBSE Class 12 exams this academic year, an impressive 16,21,224 students appeared. Among these examinees, 14,26,420 successfully cleared their exams.

According to reports from the Press Trust of India (PTI), more than 24,000 candidates attained scores above 95 percent, while an astounding figure of over 1.16 lakh students secured marks above 90 percent.

Compared to the previous year, there was a notable increase of 0.65 percent in the pass percentage, reflecting the dedication and hard work of students despite the challenges posed by the global situation. Remarkably, girls surpassed boys by a margin of over 6.40 percent points, with over 91 percent of female candidates successfully passing the examination.

While the Class 12 results were out, the anticipation for the Class 10 board examination results heightened. Although the board initially indicated that the results might be declared post-May 20, an official statement hinted at the possibility of an earlier announcement. This uncertainty surrounding the declaration date has left many students on edge.

For Class 10 students, the examination window spanned from February 15 to March 13, while Class 12 exams took place between February 15 and April 2. The discrepancy in exam dates between the two classes added to the suspense surrounding result announcements.
