Former “Law & Order” actress Angie Harmon has revealed a distressing incident involving an Instacart delivery driver who fatally shot her family’s dog at their North Carolina residence on Saturday.

Harmon took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news, accompanied by several photos of their beloved pet named Oliver. According to Harmon, the male delivery driver had completed dropping off groceries before tragically shooting Oliver. She mentioned that although their family possessed a Ring camera, it was unable to capture the incident as it was inside charging. Harmon speculated that the driver may have noticed the absence of the camera.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department confirmed the incident, citing the driver’s claim of acting in self-defense against an alleged dog attack. However, Harmon disputed this assertion, pointing out that the driver displayed no signs of injury or damage to his clothing.

Despite the upsetting circumstances, no charges have been filed by the authorities in connection with the incident.

In response to the incident, Instacart issued a statement expressing deep sadness and concern. They promptly suspended the shopper’s account, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy towards violence and affirming their collaboration with law enforcement in the investigation.

Harmon further noted that the driver had been using a woman’s profile on the platform, a detail not addressed by the police or Instacart in their statements.
