Renowned actor Amitabh Bachchan has undergone an angioplasty procedure at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital, reportedly admitted early Friday morning. No official statement has been released either by the hospital or the family.
Following news of his hospitalization, Bachchan conveyed his gratitude through a post on his official social media account, stating, “T 4950 – in gratitude ever ..”. He also shared a video featuring himself and his son, Abhishek Bachchan, cheering as their team qualified for the finals in the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL).
This marks Bachchan’s second surgical procedure this year. In January, he underwent surgery for a wrist injury sustained while filming “Kalki 2898 AD” in Hyderabad. Additionally, he experienced a strain on his rib cartilage and a torn muscle, preventing him from attending the San Diego Comic-Con for the movie’s promotion.
On the professional front, Bachchan is gearing up for the release of “Kalki 2898 AD”, co-starring Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani, scheduled for May 9. He is also set to appear in the upcoming film, “Section 84”.
