Anupam Kher took to X to share a poignant video and heartfelt tribute in memory of his dear friend Satish Kaushik on the first anniversary of his passing. Kaushik, known for his roles in iconic films such as “Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron” and “Mr India”, tragically passed away on March 9, 2023, due to a heart attack while en route to a hospital in Gurugram. He was 66 years old.

In the touching post, Kher shared a one-minute clip of Kaushik engrossed in a video depicting the essence of friendship. He revealed that he had captured Kaushik’s reactions to the video on his birthday, March 7, unaware to Kaushik. Reflecting on their cherished bond, Kher expressed how Kaushik’s spirit of joy, innocence, and unparalleled friendship would forever stay with him. Despite the passage of time, Kher admitted to missing Kaushik dearly, yearning for his infectious humor and words.

Kher, 69, recently starred in “Kaagaz 2”, marking one of Kaushik’s final film appearances. Recognized for his comedic flair, Kaushik was also a respected director, with notable works including “Tere Naam” and “Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai”.

Alongside Kher’s tribute, production banner RSVP and the Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) also honored Kaushik’s memory. Both entities shared heartfelt messages on social media, emphasizing Kaushik’s lasting impact on Bollywood and his contributions to the industry.

Kaushik’s legacy continues with posthumous releases like Kangana Ranaut’s “Emergency”, where he portrayed the role of former deputy prime minister Babu Jagjivan Ram. Despite his physical absence, Kaushik’s presence in the industry and in the hearts of those who knew him remains deeply cherished.
