Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLA G Lasya Nanditha tragically lost her life in a road accident that occurred on Friday morning in Telangana’s Sangareddy district. Nandita was on her way back to the city when the accident happened. Who was Lasya Nanditha?

Nanditha, daughter of the late BRS leader G Sayanna, entered politics approximately a decade ago. The 36-year-old legislator successfully contested and won the Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly constituency in the Assembly polls last November, defeating BJP candidate Ganesh N by a margin of 17,169 votes.

She assumed the BRS nomination following her father’s passing, who had served as a five-time MLA from the same constituency.

Before her tenure as a legislator, Nandita held the position of Municipal Corporator from Kavadiguda in Hyderabad in 2016. However, she resigned from the post in December 2020, after her loss in the municipal polls.
